Sculpture Care Guidelines

Proper care and maintenance will help preserve the beauty and longevity of your sculpture. Please follow these guidelines carefully:

General Sculpture Care Tips

  • Handle With Care: Avoid scratching, rubbing, or applying excessive force to the surface.
  • Placement: If outdoors, avoid placing sculptures directly on the ground, grass, or in contact with water. Use a stable, elevated base.
  • Chemicals & Water: Keep away from water sprinklers, detergents, fertilizers, or harsh chemicals.

Bronze Sculptures

  • Outdoor Placement:
    • Do not place directly on soil or grass.
    • Protect from water sprinklers and chemical exposure.
  • Cleaning & Maintenance:
    • Dust regularly with a dry, soft cloth.
    • For deeper cleaning, use water and a soft cloth, but always dry thoroughly after exposure to moisture.
    • Wax twice a year using bee wax or microcrystalline wax to maintain the finish.
  • Rain or Moisture: Always dry the sculpture thoroughly after rain or any water exposure.

Resin Sculptures

  • Cleaning & Maintenance:
    • Treat with the same care as you would a car.
    • Use soft cloths, car shampoo, and dust the surface frequently.
    • Avoid harsh liquids, scouring pads (e.g., Scotch-Brite), and abrasive cleaners.
  • Outdoor Placement:
    • Do not place directly or permanently on the ground, grass, or in water (e.g., ponds).
    • Avoid long-term water exposure or standing moisture.
    • Always dry the sculpture after rain or water spray.
  • Regular Care:
    • Perform routine cleaning to maintain its original appearance. Neglecting maintenance can make restoration more difficult.
  • Paint & Surface:
    • Resin sculptures are coated with high-quality automotive paint designed to last for years when properly cared for.
    • Avoid scratching or rubbing the surface to preserve the finish.

Environmental Conditions

  • Do not expose sculptures to extreme temperatures. Acceptable range: -20°C to +40°C.
